PROS
<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Blue"/> The lighting is very warm and pleasurable to look at. It gives off the sense of happiness and peace, which for me, is rare.
<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Blue"/> While the background is abstract, it looks sharp in the same manner. You can tell what things are and not complain, even though they aren't perfectly drawn. Not to mention the colors go together with the lighting.
<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Blue"/> I just can't get enough of the light. Those sun shafts look very pretty, along with what I like to call the "Firefly Dots," those dots of light in the air.

Sometimes in your art the character is just an add on to the landscape, but here that doesn't hold true. He/she seems to have a purpose.
<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Blue"/> The three types of cat in this one character are all shown. It's hard to explain, but you can tell they are all there, and they are melded very well.
<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Blue"/> The technique on the character is very well done. The shading goes with the fur, something I can't do, and the anatomy is great.
<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Blue"/> This is a bit more random, but those eyes are pretty. I like the eyes.

CONS
<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Red"/> Lynxy seems to have some halo around him/her. It is prominent on the tail. I can't tell if there is an outline that glows or what, but it's off-putting.
<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Red"/> The log doesn't fit with the abstract background, and the color is a bit too dark. I don't know, but it's distracting.
<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Red"/> Either Lynxy has a short tail, or that tail is too short.
<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Red"/> There are a few strange shading lines on the face, that make it look like Lynxy has wrinkles or something, specifically near the nose.

Despite those tiny issues which you don't notice at first, this is very pleasing to the eye. I find myself staring at it.

I haven't seen another picture like this, but there is no original element to this other than the techniques and stance. However, those are original in themselves, not to mention this is a commission(?), giving you less room to work with.
